Reservation deposit outcomes

Pay only through a quote from an activated merchant. The quote shows the deposit, expiry, full checkout credit, and refund rule before payment. An item without an active payment method does not offer a deposit link.

When a deposit does not become a hold

If a payment is confirmed but no eligible hold can be created because the quote expired, stock changed, or verification failed, the payment should be voided or refunded through the original payment provider. A refund request does not mean money has arrived back at the payer; timing depends on the provider.

Successful checkout

For an eligible hold, the merchant checkout should apply the full verified deposit once toward the matching order. The reservation is treated as used only after the order and credit are confirmed. A later order reversal or chargeback requires separate review.

Expiry and disputes

An unused hold expires at its disclosed time, releases the reserved inventory, and triggers a full refund through the original payment method. A failed hold follows the same refund rule. There is no expiry forfeiture in this pilot. The refund is complete only when the payment provider confirms it; a pending request is not a completed refund. A buyer success fee is owed only after a paid order and full deposit credit are independently verified.

To challenge an outcome, email support@20and4hrs.com with the hold ID, merchant order reference, and payment reference when available. Do not include card credentials or secrets. Dispute deadlines and response targets have not yet been set.

Historical transactions

Prior creator and drops transactions remain subject to their original refund and hold information.
