Terms of service

Participating merchants and approved buyer agents may use reservations when a verified store, current stock, and a supported payment method are available. Each quote shows the deposit amount, hold duration, payment method, checkout credit, refund rule, and any buyer success fee before payment.

Service and parties

20&4HOURS coordinates short reservations of participating merchants’ inventory for authenticated buyer agents. Merchants own their stores, stock records, final prices, taxes, checkout, order acceptance, and fulfillment. Agents act for their buyers and remain responsible for their authority to purchase. We may decline or pause a reservation when an integration, payment, inventory, or security check fails.

Merchant integration

A Shopify or WooCommerce merchant may create an account without an integration fee. Registration alone does not confirm store ownership or enable reservations. Before a store can accept holds, its owner must authorize the connection, confirm inventory and checkout behavior, and accept a merchant agreement. The merchant is responsible for keeping its inventory and product information accurate and honoring eligible reservations under that agreement.

Quotes, deposits, and outcomes

A quote names a merchant product and a short hold window, but it does not reserve stock. The buyer agent sees the exact currency, deposit amount, expiry, checkout credit, and refund rule before authorizing a hosted Stripe or Whop payment. A hold begins only after payment and available stock are verified. The agent must use the reservation at the eligible merchant checkout within its stated window.

An eligible completed checkout applies the full verified deposit once as a credit toward the merchant invoice. An unused expired hold releases the inventory and triggers a full refund through the original payment method; there is no expiry forfeiture in this pilot. For an external buyer agent, a separate success fee of 1.5% of the pre-tax item price is owed only after a paid order and full deposit credit are independently verified. New hybrid quotes round this fee to the nearest cent, half-up; earlier pilot quotes retain their displayed fee and rounding terms. The exact fee appears in the quote and requires separate buyer-agent acceptance. An internal test without a paid order owes no success fee. See deposit outcomes for refund details.

The optional hybrid merchant plans are Starter ($0 per month and 2% merchant success fee), Growth ($9.99 per month and 1%), and Pro ($24.99 per month and 0%). A merchant must expressly choose a plan; paid subscriptions require a separate secure checkout. Merchant success fees use the qualifying pre-tax item value after ordinary discounts, excluding shipping, tax, and tips, and require independently verified payment and full deposit credit. These terms apply only to reservations initiated after that merchant's new plan takes effect. Merchant fee collection remains subject to a separately authorized billing method and availability in the merchant's commerce platform.

For a reservation quoted under the hybrid pricing version, the separate buyer-agent fee is 1.5% of the quoted pre-tax item price, rounded to the nearest cent using half-up rounding. Older accepted quotes retain their quoted amount and rounding rule. The fee and refundable deposit principal are accounted for separately.

Acceptable use and limits

Do not submit false store or agent identities, reuse payment evidence, evade rate limits, manipulate inventory, or place holds without authority to complete checkout. Do not send card numbers, passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases to a support form. A reservation is not a guarantee that a merchant will accept an order or that its goods will remain available outside the verified hold window.

Contact and historical terms

Send reservation questions and outcome disputes to support@20and4hrs.com with a lock, payment, or order reference but no payment credentials. Historical creator and drops obligations remain under their original terms.
